JetsInsider's The Tailgate Experience

The great philosopher Homer Simpson nearly hit the nail on the head with that famous monologue to his children. Of course, we don’t think the game is nothing. We love the game. But the tailgate, now, that just might be the pinnacle of human achievement... http://www.jetsinsider.com/blogs/wesley_sykes/?p=1172

Tailgate parties are a traditional site at football stadiums across the country. With more and more fans reluctant to pay stadium prices for food & drink, more & more fans are attending and hosting tailgate parties. We caught up with Brian Tomaska from the New York Jets L7 tailgate for an insight into the world of tailgating.... http://www.nyjetsoverthepond.com/player-interviews/2011/7/1/l7-tailgate.html

What goes on prior to Jets games in Lot 7 at the new Meadowlands Stadium, or “L7″ as it is affectionately known on Twitter, has really taken on a life of its own. JETSTWIT.com - The final home game of the season is behind us and with that the inaugural year for the L7 Tailgate.  As I may have mentioned before on this site, I have been a season ticket holder and die-hard tailgater for a long time.  When I was convinced to move my Dad and I over to L7 because of some friends I met on Twitter, I’m glad that I have as this season was full of surprises!

From John Geiger [@] and Revis’ brother to two visits from the Jets owner Woody Johnson [@] and Executive VP Matt Higgins [@], L7 was the place to be if you were on Twitter or Facebook.  Social media at it’s finest, L7 was probably the only tailgate that originated from people who followed each other from the Internet and if you had the opportunity to pass by the festivities, you would think the people present were the best of friends doing this for a long time.

Former New York Jet Leon Washington’s wife tweeted me during the last tailgate to know if L7 was the place to be! http://jetstwit.com/2011/01/04/the-inaugural-l7-tailgate-season-deemed-a-success/
